Employee Handbook & Public Policies

A public overview of the working standards, responsibilities, and principles that guide how Zavriotech operates as a distributed software company.

Public edition · Last updated August 28, 2026

This public handbook summarizes general company principles. Individual employment agreements, role requirements, approved internal procedures, and applicable law govern where they differ or provide additional detail.

1. Our working model

Zavriotech is a remote-friendly technology company. Team members may work remotely based on their role and project requirements while staying connected through regular communication, project tools, and scheduled collaboration.

  • We care more about accountability and outcomes than unnecessary clock-watching.
  • Working hours can be flexible around agreed collaboration hours, client meetings, sprint discussions, and important project activities.
  • Performance is evaluated through quality, reliability, communication, ownership, and delivery of agreed outcomes.
  • Remote work depends on trust, and that trust is maintained through consistent communication and reliable delivery.

2. Communication & availability

Distributed work succeeds when information is visible and people communicate early.

  • Keep project updates and task status accurate and visible.
  • Communicate blockers, delays, changing availability, and planned leave as early as possible.
  • Respond within reasonable working-hour windows and attend agreed meetings.
  • Ask for help before a manageable problem becomes a crisis.
  • During approved leave, continuous availability is not expected unless a separate critical-responsibility arrangement has been mutually agreed.

3. Ownership & delivery

We trust people with meaningful responsibility and expect everyone to help the wider team succeed.

  • Deliver quality work within agreed timelines and take responsibility for commitments.
  • Raise concerns early, participate in necessary reviews, and support dependable handoffs.
  • Keep meetings purposeful and protect focused time for building, thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Contribute to product decisions, architecture, processes, and technical improvements—not only isolated tasks.

4. Documentation & knowledge sharing

Important project knowledge should never live only inside one person's head.

  • Document technical decisions, workflows, requirements, credentials processes, and important project updates.
  • Share useful knowledge with teammates so distributed work can continue without avoidable bottlenecks.
  • Keep documentation appropriate to the risk, complexity, and operating needs of the project.

5. Security, confidentiality & client conduct

Protecting company and client information is part of every role.

  • Protect confidential information, source code, credentials, customer data, and internal records.
  • Use approved accounts, tools, and devices, and never share access with unauthorized parties.
  • Maintain a suitable working environment, reliable connectivity, and appropriate device and account security.
  • Communicate professionally, respect client confidentiality, and do not commit to scope, pricing, or deadlines without authorization.

6. Growth, benefits & opportunity

We want talented people to do meaningful work while continuing to grow professionally.

  • Employees are encouraged to develop skills through courses, certifications, knowledge sharing, and hands-on work with new technologies.
  • Where approved, Zavriotech may support learning that directly contributes to an employee's role or professional development.
  • As the company grows, team members may take ownership of larger projects, lead initiatives, mentor others, and move into senior or leadership responsibilities.
  • Employees receive annual paid leave and applicable public holidays according to company policy and individual employment terms.
  • Strong ownership and contribution may be recognized through progression, compensation reviews, and additional opportunities.

7. Leave & remote-work standards

Flexibility works when project responsibilities and team expectations remain clear.

  • Request planned leave in advance wherever possible so responsibilities can be managed properly.
  • Communicate illness or unexpected emergencies to the relevant manager as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Maintain a reliable internet connection and a suitable, professional working environment.
  • Stay reasonably available during agreed working periods and keep progress and availability up to date.
